About
Maria is passionate about supporting individuals to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and self-compassion. She believes that many individuals seek support at different times in their lives, and she feels privileged to walk alongside clients in their personal and relational journeys. She strives to offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where people feel safe, respected, and heard.
Maria works primarily with adults and supports individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety and mood difficulties, trauma, chronic health conditions, grief and loss, stressful life transitions, low self-esteem, relationship and parenting challenges, and work-related stress. She also has an interest in working with individuals with ADHD and Autism and has undertaken relevant professional development in this area.
A central focus of Maria’s work is relationship counselling, where she supports individuals and couples to strengthen connection, improve communication, and build more fulfilling and meaningful relationships.
Maria’s approach is warm, gentle, and collaborative. She values understanding each person’s unique experiences and strengths, and works alongside clients to develop goals and a pace that feels right for them. Her hope is that therapy supports clients to build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and greater wellbeing in their lives.
